The core of the HNUE STEM Ecosystem is its ecosystem-based approach to STEM education, where the components do not operate in isolation but are integrated into a unified whole. The university plays a central role in connecting and coordinating educational programs, learning materials, STEM Lab infrastructure, teacher training and development, student experiential activities, digital technology platforms, and the collaboration of businesses.

In line with its development orientation, HNUE STEM Ecosystem aims to build a comprehensive STEM education system from grade 1 to grade 12, creating conditions for students to access STEM education according to a path suitable for each developmental stage, while enhancing opportunities for experience, practice, and application of knowledge to solve real-world problems.

Simultaneously, the development of a synchronized STEM learning materials system, the creation of integrated teaching models, support for teachers to innovate teaching methods, and the gradual expansion of access to STEM education for students in many localities are crucial.

Besides building a professional foundation, the HNUE STEM Ecosystem facilitates access to professional resources from schools for general education institutions, thereby enabling them to implement STEM education that is appropriate to the practical conditions of each locality.

Hanoi University of Education has signed cooperation agreements with businesses, educational organizations, and strategic partners to promote the implementation of collaborative programs in developing learning materials, providing equipment support, building STEM experiential environments, training teachers, transferring educational technology, and expanding STEM access opportunities for students.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Mr. Thai Van Tai, Director of the Department of General Education (Ministry of Education and Training), emphasized that STEM classrooms should not be separate but rather an extension of existing subject-specific classrooms. The implementation of STEM education should be carried out through interdisciplinary teaching and related subjects to develop both general and specific competencies for students.

The Director of the Department of General Education stated that, entering the second phase of implementation according to Resolution 57-NQ/TW, the Ministry of Education and Training is developing guidelines for designing classrooms that extend subject-specific classrooms to create a creative space for students. Simultaneously, they are finalizing the national digital education learning materials database project, in which digital textbooks are identified as mandatory materials.

Mr. Thai Van Tai suggested that Hanoi Pedagogical University carefully study the circulars on standards for connecting and converting learning materials to digital format so that when all learning materials are connected to the national platform, it will contribute to ensuring equity in access to education between different regions.
