Launching the book 'Traditional Vietnamese worship - rituals and ritual practices'

The book is both a research work on the worship customs that have been deeply rooted in the entire daily and spiritual life of the Vietnamese people, and a handbook guiding the practice of traditional rituals in the spirit of respect, thrift and civilization in modern life.

As a young cultural researcher and with many years of experience in guiding the practice of worship rituals, author Trung Chinh Quach Trong Tra has researched, recorded, described, systematized and initially analyzed the ritual system of the Vietnamese people to launch the work Traditional Vietnamese Worship - Rituals and Ritual Practice .

Rituals of worshiping and offering sacrifices to ancestors and revered figures such as Buddha, saints, gods, fairies, etc. have been formed and developed in parallel with the persistent and steadfast process of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people, contributing to enriching the nation's long-standing culture.

The remarkable point in the book by author Trung Chinh Quach Trong Tra lies in the introduction, analysis and systematization in a way that is both theoretically profound and concise and easy to understand the basic features of the traditional worship rituals of the Vietnamese people.

Based on the traditional prayers of our ancestors (which have existed for a long time, using many old words, Sino-Vietnamese words that are somewhat complicated and difficult to understand), the author re-composed the prayers with a modern, pure Vietnamese writing style but still ensuring the clarity and richness of the Vietnamese language as well as the core content of the prayers.

Through that, the book helps readers, especially young people, know how to use prayers in their mother tongue fluently and clearly, increasing their sincerity when making offerings to their ancestors and grandparents.

Through the book Traditional Vietnamese Worship - Rituals and Ritual Practices , it can be seen that the worship of Vietnamese people for generations has become a beautiful spiritual and communal cultural feature of the nation.

Through this book, the young generation needs to learn to see more clearly the meaning and value of worship as well as basic rituals, thereby continuing the worship and rites of ancestors in accordance with morality.

Drawing on more than 20 years of direct experience in guiding worship rituals and performing tasks related to spiritual culture, author Quach Trong Tra has provided practical, easy-to-understand, easy-to-do instructions on practicing rituals, while still ensuring the traditional core meaning and values, thereby meeting the practical needs in the spiritual life of the majority of Vietnamese people.

Author Trung Chinh Quach Trong Tra graduated with a BA in Literature from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City.

From 1996 to present, he has focused on researching and practicing Vietnamese worship rituals, while also guiding fellow believers on worship and matters related to spiritual life.
