At the program, the Youth Union of the units presented 50 million VND worth of support funds for building rural concrete roads to the people of Na Thum hamlet; donated 6,000 acacia seedlings to households; donated 3 highland bookcases and 30 boxes of notebooks to Truong Luong Primary School; and awarded scholarships to 22 disadvantaged students with high academic achievements, each gift worth 1 million VND. The total value of the gifts was over 230 million VND donated by cadres, civil servants, employees and workers of the units and mobilized socialization.
Within the program, the Youth Union attended the groundbreaking ceremony, presented a donation of 50 million VND to support the construction of a “House of Love” for Mr. Trieu Van Dai, Na Thum hamlet; supported the people to build a rural concrete road in Na Thum hamlet with a length of 250 m, width of 2.4 m; and planted trees at the family of union member Truong Van Toan, Na Thum hamlet.
The “Pink Vacation” volunteer campaign is one of the five key programs of the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign. This is considered a volunteer activity for union members, young people who are civil servants, public employees and workers in agencies and enterprises to promote the pioneering role of young people in applying knowledge, expertise and skills to participate in social activities and serve the community.
