The global robot vacuum cleaner market in general and Vietnam in particular have just experienced a prosperous year with double-digit growth. According to a report by market research firm Mordor Intelligence, one of the key factors influencing the growth of the robot vacuum cleaner market is the increasing demand for domestic consumer robots and the increasing investment in research and development (R&D) of personal service robots to support various household applications.
Robot vacuum cleaners are gradually becoming indispensable "assistants" in modern families.
The Asia- Pacific (APAC) region is the world's fastest growing market in this segment. In Southeast Asia (SEA) alone, Vietnam is leading the region in terms of consumption of robot vacuum cleaners, according to Mr. Chris Ma - Southeast Asia Sales Director of Ecovacs. In the fourth quarter of 2024 alone, this brand achieved a growth rate of 250% in Vietnam compared to the same period in 2023.
Sharing with the media at the strategic cooperation signing ceremony between Mi Vietnam and Hop Long Company (the distributor of Ecovacs and Tineco brands in Vietnam) recently held in Hanoi , Mr. Dao Hai Dang - representative of Ecovacs Vietnam, said that in the next 10 years, robot vacuum cleaners will become essential products in Vietnamese families, instead of TVs, refrigerators, and washing machines like before. "Robot vacuum cleaners are developing and operating in a personalized direction, instead of just doing as programmed as before. Therefore, this device is becoming more and more popular, especially when Vietnamese people love technology," Mr. Dang commented on the reason why the Vietnamese market is continuously recording growth.
In addition, another important factor that helps vacuum cleaner robots appear more and more in Vietnamese families is the birth of new generations of strategic devices, possessing many high-end features but at mid-range prices and suitable for the spending of young people as well as the majority of families today. With a price of just over 2 million VND, users can own a vacuum cleaner robot model in the house from a major brand, and there are many options ranging from tens of millions of VND, depending on actual needs and desired features.
