Ronaldo was unhappy when his future was revealed.

According to The Athletic , Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be unhappy with the statements of FIFA President Gianni Infantino. The 40-year-old striker believes that Mr. Infantino revealed his future without his consent.

Previously, the FIFA president stated: "Cristiano Ronaldo could play for one of the teams participating in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. We are having discussions."

Not stopping there, the head of FIFA also expressed his desire to see two contemporary legends, Ronaldo and Messi, on the same side: "I would love to see Cristiano and Messi play together. Imagine them playing for the same team in this tournament? That would be something really special."

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is an expanded edition featuring 32 of the world's top clubs and will be held in the US in June. Messi is certain to play for Inter Miami. The opening ceremony will also be held at the home stadium of David Beckham's team.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo's Al Nassr did not qualify for the tournament. However, FIFA confirmed that the 32 teams participating in the 2025 Club World Cup will be allowed to make transfers or loans during the special additional registration period from June 1 to 10.

At 40, Ronaldo is still the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League and plays an irreplaceable role in the Portuguese national team under coach Roberto Martinez. Al Nassr's failure to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup and AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26 could affect the future of the veteran born in 1985.

Saudi Arabian media revealed that Al Nassr still wants to keep CR7 but will ask him to reduce his salary. In return, Ronaldon will have some shares in the capital Riyadh team.
