This is an important event in the series of activities of the 22nd Vietnam Poetry Day, chaired by the Vietnam Writers Association , in coordination with the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center.

Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia attended the poetry night.

In his opening speech, poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association, emphasized that the Vietnamese people have created a long-standing and magnificent culture. Poetry is one of the magical beauties that contributes to creating that culture. The poets present at the poetry night “The Harmony of the Country” – representing 54 ethnic groups – brought a “manifesto” about the beauty and freedom of each individual and each nation.

The poetry night opened with emotion with the poem “Full Moon of January” by President Ho Chi Minh being sung loudly. This was followed by introductions and performances of poetry on various topics to honor the precious heritages in the poetry treasure of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups, typical works of ethnic poets and works written about nature, land and people of the Vietnamese ethnic groups.

Specifically, part 1 "Poetry and authors of ethnic groups in the Northern mountainous region" includes excerpts from the epic poem "Hundred birds and hundred flowers" (Tay ethnic group), "Tan Trao people" (Nong Quoc Chan), "Mountain mothers" (Do Thi Tac), "Pa Di people's sons" (Po Sao Min), "Cua Pang" (Duong Khau Luong).

Part 2 “Poetry and authors of Northern ethnic groups” includes excerpts from the poems “Farewell to my lover” (Thai ethnic group), “Dream of the Thuong River” (Nguyen Phuc Loc Thanh), “Spring song” (Bui Tuyet Mai), “Eastern Digan” (Ly Huu Luong), “Border afternoon” (Lo Ngan Sun).

Part 3 “International Poetry and Authors” introduces works by Korean poets. Part 4 “Poetry and Authors of the Central and South Central regions” brings to the public excerpts from the epic poem “Birth of the Earth, Birth of Water” (Muong ethnic group) and the poems “Muong Hung Mountain, Ma River” (Cam Giang), “Nomad Soul” (Kieu Mai Ly).

The poetry night ended with the section “Poetry and authors from the South and Central Highlands” with outstanding poems: “Inviting people from that place to visit” (Hong Thai), “Inviting you to come back to us” (Thach Don Ni), “Shadow of the Kơ-nia tree” (Ngoc Anh)…

Poetry works are presented in many forms such as performances, poetry readings, poetry recitations, and attractive song compositions, bringing many special experiences to the public.

Within the framework of the 22nd Vietnam Poetry Day at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Site, the public was able to visit the Memory House, Poetry Shop, Poetry Street... spaces with unique and novel designs, carrying the meaning of "The Harmony of the Country" according to the theme of this year's Poetry Day.
