Mr. Nguyen Quang Hai, Deputy Head of Administration and Labor Department of Ban Ve Hydropower Company informed that Ban Ve Hydropower Plant is currently very safe, with no problems. As of 5:00 p.m. on July 27, the water flow into the lake was about 1,200 m3/s, the water flow discharged through the spillway and generators was less than 1,200 m3/s, much lower than the highest discharge flow during this flood of 42,000 m3/s.
Mr. Hai suggested that the authorities need to investigate and strictly handle this false information.
