Many good books about journalism have just been released to readers.

Journalist in the digital age

Tre Publishing House has just published a series of 8 books, helping readers have more information and good knowledge. This is a series of journalism and communication books with a large amount of knowledge, multi-dimensional, covering many important aspects of modern journalism. The opening work for this special series is "Uncle Ho with Vietnamese revolutionary journalism" by author Doan Yen Kieu, as a meticulous summary of many of Uncle Ho's articles and speeches on journalism and propaganda activities, so that readers can understand more deeply Uncle Ho's teachings, especially journalists or those who dream of becoming journalists, and be aware of their responsibility to the profession. During his revolutionary career, Uncle Ho wrote more than 2,000 articles in many genres, signed under more than 170 different names, aliases, and pen names.

The remaining books in this series are compiled by the world's leading journalism experts such as "Creating News" by Ulrik Haagerup, "A Guide to Using News" by Alan Rusbridger, "The Journalist - Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Journalism" by Francesco Marconi... The books address hot issues of modern journalism: online journalism, mobile journalism, social media, fake news, artificial intelligence and digital interviewing skills; instruct readers on how to distinguish real news from fake news in an era of too much information; a new perspective on the potential of artificial intelligence in journalism; specific instructions for journalists in the digital environment...

This can be considered a good professional book series, inspiring journalists, especially the young generation, helping them to have confidence in the role of journalism and gain more skills to become journalists in the digital age.

“We write about our profession”

In addition to the book series providing knowledge for journalists to enter the digital age, on this occasion, many journalists also chose to launch books, bringing happy and sad stories about the journalism profession they have experienced, to see why they pursue the profession to the end, in addition to ability, knowledge, experience, but also dedication, daring to face difficulties and challenges.

At the age of 96, journalist Ha Dang launched the book "The Quintessence of Vietnamese Revolution", summarizing nearly 80 years of journalism and his dedication to ideological and theoretical work. The book selects 112 articles, research, comments, and interviews by journalist Ha Dang from 1955 to July 2024, a valuable document not only for researchers and journalists but also for those interested in the country's development path, through articles closely related to the times that the journalist experienced during each period of ups and downs of the country. For him, journalism is not about making a name for himself but about making a small contribution to the cause of national liberation and serving the people.

Journalist Ho Quang Loi has just released the book “Truth, Righteousness and the Pen” which brings hot news stories from around the world as well as current issues in the country. The book also devotes many pages to some core issues of journalism that he has experienced in his writing career of more than 45 years. These are real stories from good memories, valuable knowledge in his journalism career, helping people understand more about journalism, the responsibility of journalists to master their pens, to contribute to their homeland and country.

The happy and sad stories of journalism shared by domestic and foreign reporters are distilled in the book “100 stories of the profession”, edited and published by the National Political Publishing House Truth, helping readers understand more about the thoughts and feelings of journalists, and know the difficulties, challenges, and happiness that help them to commit and contribute. The book not only recreates a slice of the history of 100 years of revolutionary journalism, but also clarifies the noble character and personality of journalists along with touching stories about the profession.

Along with this book, the Truth National Political Publishing House has also just published the collection of short stories “Shooting to the Sky” by Professor Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan, a veteran journalist with many outstanding works.
