Saigon Co.op launches the Journey of Happiness program

Joining the exciting atmosphere of the whole country celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30), towards the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2) and the 29th birthday of the Co.opmart supermarket system, the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives - Saigon Co.op has just launched the Happy Journey program. This is the biggest customer connection activity in 2025 of Saigon Co.op in localities nationwide.

A special highlight of the journey was Saigon Co.op taking photos with the Vietnamese flag alongside the local people, setting a record for "An online map of Vietnam created from 50,000 happy smiles." For each happy photo captured, Saigon Co.op will donate 5,000 VND to support social projects within the Co.op Cares community initiative.

According to Mr. Thai Luong Hung, Director of Saigon Co.op Central Region, the "Journey of Happiness" will take place across Vietnam from April 24th to May 31st, with 50 stops and lively activities to attract customers to take photos with the Vietnamese flag. Besides practical activities that spread the message of unity among the three regions and honor Vietnamese goods and OCOP products, Saigon Co.op will work with local people to promote the cultural beauty and people of each region, such as recreating heroic history in Quang Tri, gong and drum dances in the Central Highlands, Southern folk music in Ben Tre , and many other special landmarks… so that national cultural identity is preserved and passed on to future generations. Alongside the "Journey to Happiness," Saigon Co.op will offer a series of major promotions themed "Journey to a New Age - Connecting with Pride," along with many interactive activities to entertain customers at 800 Saigon Co.op retail locations including: Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food, Co.op Smile, Cheers, Finelife, Sense City, SenseMarket… Customers will receive millions of offers, discounts up to 50%, opportunities for cashback on purchases, and practical gifts from the system.
