Mr. Jong-Hee (JH) Han, Vice President, CEO, and Head of Device Experience (DX) at Samsung, opened the press conference by describing how AI supports connected technologies to improve people's daily lives with minimal intervention while operating "in the background." His strategy focuses on the role of AI in enhancing the connected experience in a simple and useful way. Throughout the press conference, Samsung introduced a range of products and services aimed at achieving these goals.

For example, the Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN900D TV boasts the most advanced AI processor – the NQ8 AI Gen 3, equipped with eight times more AI neural networks and a twice as fast NPU compared to its predecessor. Thanks to the NQ8 AI Gen 3 processor, the Samsung Neo QLED 8K automatically upscales low-resolution content to 8K, providing users with a high-quality viewing experience and sharp, fast-moving images through AI Motion Enhancer Pro.

To meet the diverse needs of users, Samsung also offers features to assist people with disabilities. The sign language feature on the Samsung Neo QLED can be easily controlled with gestures, providing particular benefits for the hearing impaired. Additionally, the Audio Subtitle feature converts text subtitles into instant speech, effectively assisting the visually impaired.

Samsung also brought significant improvements to Ballie, the AI-powered robot first introduced at CES 2020. Ballie has now been upgraded to become an AI companion capable of interacting with other smart devices to provide customized services, such as multitasking, projecting images and videos onto walls, thereby helping users easily monitor important daily information such as weather or other relevant content anytime, anywhere.

To enhance the kitchen experience and food preservation, Samsung has launched the Bespoke Flex 4-door refrigerator with AI Family Hub. This refrigerator features a 32-inch screen and the new AI Vision Inside feature, which uses an internal camera to identify up to 33 different food items placed in and removed from the refrigerator, or suggests recipes based on available ingredients. Users can also set "expiration dates" on the Bespoke Flex 4-door refrigerator via the AI Family Hub screen, allowing the refrigerator to send notifications when food is nearing its expiration date.

Samsung's AI technology extends beyond kitchen appliances to other devices. The new All-in-One washer-dryer – the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo™ – features an AI Hub, a 7-inch LCD screen that acts as a central, intuitive control panel for managing laundry, providing a simple washing and drying experience. This device personalizes the wash and dry cycle by remembering user habits and using machine learning to suggest optimal cycles.

Meanwhile, Samsung's upcoming Bespoke Jet Bot Combo robot vacuum and mop uses AI technology to deliver a more efficient and convenient cleaning experience. With upgraded AI Object Recognition from its previous robot vacuum line, the device can distinguish more objects and detect a wider range of dirt and spaces.

Constantly upgrading PC capabilities, Samsung has partnered with Microsoft to create entirely new, seamless connectivity experiences. Now, these experiences are further enhanced with new connectivity features, making the Galaxy Book4 series smoother, smarter, and more convenient, reinforcing Samsung and Microsoft's commitment to providing the best PC experience for users. Utilizing intelligent and intuitive AI technology, Microsoft Copilot connects the Galaxy Book4 series with Samsung Galaxy smartphones, allowing the devices to work together seamlessly, giving the feeling of using only a single device. Microsoft Copilot can find, read, or summarize text messages from the user's Galaxy smartphone, or even automatically create and send messages from the PC on behalf of the user.

Simultaneously, Samsung also introduced a range of other AI-powered devices and solutions. Mr. Han emphasized: “With the advent of AI, smarter and more optimized experiences will shape our lifestyles. Samsung’s diverse portfolio of powerful devices, coupled with its pursuit of open collaboration, will bring AI and hyper-connectivity to everyone.”
