On June 1st, the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting announced that the northern region, excluding Quang Ninh and Hai Phong , will continue to experience hot weather, with some areas experiencing intense heat. Maximum temperatures will generally be 35-36 degrees Celsius, with some places exceeding 37 degrees Celsius; minimum humidity will generally be 50%-55%.

In Hanoi, the prevailing weather is hot and sunny, with maximum temperatures of 35-36 degrees Celsius, and even exceeding 36 degrees Celsius in some areas. The heat is concentrated from noon to early afternoon. Compared to the heatwave at the end of May, this one is less intense. From June 4th to 5th, thunderstorms are possible again in Northern Vietnam.

The area from Thanh Hoa to Hue City also experienced hot weather, with some places experiencing intense heat; the highest temperatures were generally 35-36 degrees Celsius, with some places exceeding 37 degrees Celsius. From the 2nd to the 6th, the heatwave expanded to the North Central and Central Central regions.

The meteorological agency forecasts that from June 3rd to 5th, widespread heatwaves are likely to occur in the North, the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City, and the eastern parts of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak; this may continue for the following days.

Meanwhile, the South continues to be affected by the Southwest monsoon, which is active with moderate to strong intensity, so thunderstorms persist. In Ho Chi Minh City, rain may appear from mid-morning, first in the eastern and northern areas, bordering Dong Nai, then spreading to other areas. Some areas may experience moderate to heavy rain.

In the Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam, showers and thunderstorms will be concentrated in the late afternoon and evening. The meteorological agency notes that on June 2nd and 3rd, Southern Vietnam and the South Central region should be prepared for localized heavy rainfall. Thunderstorms may be accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
