According to 9to5Google , while users of old Samsung devices are waiting for the One UI 7 update, the Korean technology company suddenly launched three new Galaxy A phone models with this operating system pre-installed. This move has many people wondering about Samsung's software update strategy.

Old Galaxy users sadly wait for One UI 7
The trio of rookies Galaxy A26, A36 and A56 will officially launch in the US market from March 26, bringing the One UI 7 experience based on Android 15 right out of the box. This is considered the first opportunity for users to access Samsung's latest interface without having to spend money on the expensive Galaxy S25 line.
All three phones feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz display and a 5,000mAh battery. The main differences lie in the camera system and configuration. The Galaxy A56 is the most advanced version with a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP macro camera. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A36 and A26 have more 'modest' camera configurations.
Samsung hasn't revealed details about the processor, but leaks have revealed that it will be powered by Exynos 1580 on the Galaxy A56, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 on the Galaxy A36, and Exynos 1380 on the Galaxy A26. The Galaxy A56 has 8GB of RAM while the other two have 6GB, all three have 128GB of storage.
It is worth noting that while Samsung has not announced the One UI 7 update roadmap for current devices, the company has prioritized pre-installing this operating system on the new Galaxy A series. This makes many users wonder about Samsung's software support policy.
All three new Galaxy A models come with a commitment to six years of Android OS and security updates.
