Typhoon Yagi (Typhoon No. 3) made landfall in Quang Ninh on September 7, causing heavy losses in human lives and property. In addition to damage to onshore construction works, at Tuan Chau International Passenger Port in Tuan Chau Ward (Ha Long City, Quang Ninh), about 23 tourist boats sank due to storm Yagi.

According to statistics, Typhoon Yagi caused 269 watercraft operating in the Quang Ninh sea area to sink. Due to the large number of sunken and sunken vessels, it was very difficult for the owners of the vessels to hire ships to salvage them.
