(NLĐO) - Only at special spots like the summit of Khanh Son Pass ( Khanh Hoa province) can tourists "hunt for clouds," with a sea of clouds drifting lazily, covering the town in the early morning.
Khanh Son is a mountainous district in the southwestern part of Khanh Hoa province, located 100 km from Nha Trang city and 40 km from Cam Ranh city. To reach Khanh Son, tourists must travel from Cam Ranh and cross a mountain pass. The summit of the pass is in Ba Cum Bac commune, with the To Hap valley on the other side.
It is precisely this unique topography that makes the summit of Khanh Son Pass a "hot" destination in Khanh Hoa for "cloud hunting". Although Khanh Son only has an average altitude of 400-800 meters above sea level, with the pass summit approximately 600 meters, visitors can witness the magic of nature: clouds "caressing" and clinging close to the town of To Hap.

Clouds blanket the To Hap valley, a sight reminiscent of the Khanh Son pass.
To "hunt for clouds" at the top of Khanh Son Pass, the group of tourists woke up at 5:30 AM, while it was still dark and the air was cool. The entire To Hap valley was shrouded in fog, with clouds drifting gently through the forest canopy. From To Hap town, the group of tourists drove for about 20 minutes to reach the top of Khanh Son Pass.
Mr. Quoc Toan (a tourist from Nha Trang City) surveyed the location to "hunt for clouds" and chose the most beautiful spot about 50 meters down from the top of the pass.
Setting up a small chair, the group of tourists opened their thermos flasks, sipped their hot morning tea, and gazed at the layers of clouds drifting lazily, forming a sea of clouds that descended upon Tô Hạp.
According to locals, you can see clouds all year round in Khanh Son. The best time is from 5:45 AM to around 7:00 AM (depending on the day). Each season has its own unique beauty. To have a complete experience, visitors should check the weather before traveling to avoid rainy days.
To Hap is much lower than the mountain pass summit, so in the early morning, the entire valley creates a misty, romantic scene.
Around 6:30, the sun's rays appeared, creating a layering effect among the clouds. The mountains became more clearly visible, while the white clouds seemed to shrink, making the town of Tô Hạp even more enchanting.
The scenery in Tô Hạp is picturesque, with villages and red tiled roofs peeking out from amidst a sea of fluffy clouds, alongside winding roads under the canopy of green forests and neatly arranged durian hills.
Because of its ethereal, "fairytale" beauty, many tourists have recently been undeterred by the long journey and mountain passes to reach the Khánh Sơn highlands to chase the clouds in the early morning.
