(Baothanhhoa.vn) - After implementing the policy of not organizing district-level police and from July 1, 2025, implementing a 2-level local government organization model, merging communes, wards and towns in the direction of being streamlined, compact, strong, operating effectively, efficiently and effectively, the commune-level police in Thanh Hoa province will have to restructure all conditions from facilities, equipment, means and forces to operate effectively in the new situation.

According to the general policy, the 2-level administrative organization model (provincial and communal levels) will come into operation from July 1, 2025. In Thanh Hoa , after the reorganization, the province will have 166 commune-level administrative units (including 19 wards and 147 communes), a reduction of 381 commune-level administrative units compared to the total number of commune-level administrative units at present. Corresponding to the commune-level administrative units, after the reorganization, the province will have 166 commune-level police units. To carry out this reorganization, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police has been actively preparing human resources, facilities, and equipment for the new commune-level police units after the merger to operate from July 1.

Accordingly, the Provincial Police Department requested the Commune Police Department to count, compare, and evaluate the current status of all assets currently assigned for management and use and report the results to the Provincial Police Director through the Logistics Department. After the count, the Provincial Police Department established working groups to directly count and compare and strive to complete before July 1, 2025.

Regarding the Commune Police headquarters, the Provincial Police will also study the renovation plan, use it appropriately, and avoid waste. The Provincial Police Director has reported to the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Party Committee and the commune-level authorities to review the planning and introduce land locations for investment in building Commune Police headquarters. The land locations must be arranged near the commune administrative center, convenient for people to contact work and request police work.

With the spirit of urgency but caution, thoroughness, methodicalness, science , strictness and seriousness, the work of preparing conditions for the Commune-level Police to operate when merging commune-level administrative units has been and is being actively deployed by Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, ensuring that the new Commune-level Police apparatus will operate effectively from July 1, 2025, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
