According to the general policy, the 2-level administrative organization model (provincial level, commune level) will come into operation from July 1, 2025. In Thanh Hoa , after the rearrangement, the province will have 166 commune-level administrative units (including 19 wards and 147 communes), a reduction of 381 commune-level administrative units compared to the total number of commune-level administrative units at present. Corresponding to the commune-level administrative units, after the rearrangement, the province will have 166 commune-level police units. To carry out this rearrangement, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police has been actively preparing conditions in terms of human resources, facilities, and equipment for the new commune-level police units after the merger to operate from July 1.

Accordingly, the Provincial Police Department requires the Commune Police Department to count, compare, and evaluate the current status of all assets currently assigned for management and use and report the results to the Provincial Police Director through the Logistics Department. After the count, the Provincial Police Department will establish working groups to directly count and compare and strive to complete before July 1, 2025.

Regarding the working headquarters of the Commune Police, the Provincial Police will also study the plan for renovation and appropriate use, avoiding waste. The Director of the Provincial Police has reported to the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Party Committee and the commune-level authorities to review the planning, introduce land locations for investment in the construction of commune-level Police headquarters, the land locations must be arranged near the commune administrative center, convenient for people to contact work and request police work.

With a spirit of urgency but caution, thoroughness, methodicalness, science , strictness and seriousness, the work of preparing conditions for the operation of the Commune-level Police when merging the commune-level administrative units has been and is being actively deployed by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, ensuring that the organization of the new Commune-level Police apparatus will operate effectively from July 1, 2025, meeting the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.
