In the final days of the holiday, teachers in schools quickly resumed their professional activities, reviewing the curriculum and finalizing lesson plans, ready for the first lessons of the new year. According to the teachers, the beginning of the year is crucial in consolidating knowledge foundations and creating momentum for the second semester. Without timely establishment of routines, students can easily become complacent, affecting their learning progress.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang, a teacher at Cam Binh High School, is preparing lesson plans for the first few classes of the school year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang, a teacher at Cam Binh High School, said: “Right from the end of the holiday, we proactively reviewed the curriculum and prepared lesson plans so that the first lessons of the year would be smooth but effective. The goal is to help students quickly get back into the rhythm of learning, reinforce key content, and create a ready mindset for the road ahead, especially for those in their final year.”

Besides carefully preparing lesson content, many teachers are also increasing their use of information technology, employing electronic lectures and visual aids to organize lively and effective lessons at the beginning of the school year. Along with the teachers' sense of responsibility and proactiveness, students at all levels are also clearly aware of the need to quickly establish routines and avoid distractions after the long holiday.

Tran Thi Linh Na, a student in class 11A4 at Nguyen Dinh Lien High School (Yen Hoa commune), shared: “During the last days of the holiday, I and some friends from nearby spent time reviewing old lessons, completing unfinished assignments, and learning about new material. Reviewing helped me systematize my knowledge, feel more confident when returning to class, and be ready for the first lessons of the new year.”

For graduating students, the period after Tet (Lunar New Year) is not only a return to school but also a crucial time to accelerate as the entrance exams for higher education approach, requiring them to maintain their academic performance and high level of concentration.

Nguyen Van Phuc, a 9th-grade student from My Chau Secondary School (Mai Phu commune), shared: “After the first mock exam, my results weren't as good as I hoped, so during the Tet holiday, I took the opportunity to review the areas where I was weak. Besides self-study, my classmates and I regularly discussed topics through our class group to solve difficult problems together and reminded each other to maintain study discipline. Maintaining regular review during the long holiday helped me consolidate my knowledge, feel more confident, and be ready for the important upcoming exam period.”

Besides the school's proactive approach and the students' self-discipline, parental support is considered a crucial "pillar of support" that helps children quickly stabilize their mental state and routines after a long holiday. According to many parents, maintaining a structured daily schedule, limiting screen time, and creating a quiet study environment at home are practical factors that help children establish a stable learning routine.

Elementary school students have also returned to their study routines, preparing their knowledge for the first lesson of the new year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue (Ha Linh commune) said: “After the Tet holiday with many fun activities and spring outings, the daily routines of elementary school students are somewhat disrupted. Therefore, before my child returned to school, I reviewed the old lessons with her, reminded her to tidy up her study area, and prepared all her books and school supplies. The family also adjusted her daily schedule, making sure she went to bed early and developed the habit of waking up on time to ensure her health. In addition, we encouraged her to set specific goals for the new semester and maintain a serious attitude towards learning from the very first days of the year.”

With the Lunar New Year holiday concluded, both teachers and students are ready to return to the learning routine with renewed spirit and determination. The teachers' meticulous preparation of lesson plans, coupled with the students' proactive attitude, will form a solid foundation for effective lessons at the beginning of the school year, opening up an exciting learning journey and creating momentum for the successful completion of the academic year's objectives.
