
The Thanh Binh Bridge project commenced construction on March 13, 2023. To date, the project has essentially completed the following construction work: the bridge body and piers have been completed, the bridge deck has been poured; technical pipes awaiting underground installation, curbs have been installed, and sidewalks have been paved; three decorative steel arches have been erected; sidewalks, curbs, and medium-grained asphalt concrete pavement have been laid at the bridge approaches; bridge railings have been installed; curbs for the bridge median have been installed; staircases have been constructed; decorative tension bars have been installed; and lighting has been installed to ensure traffic safety. The value of completed work is 85/90.7 billion VND. Unfinished work includes: installation of aluminum cladding for the bridge girders; waterwheels; and Hmong flutes.

During the inspection, Comrade Le Thanh Do requested the People's Committee of Dien Bien Phu City and the construction contractor to expedite the remaining work this afternoon (October 29th) and tomorrow morning (October 30th), such as: completing the bracing system; repainting road markings, traffic signs, and bridge arches; and completing the green space system in the median strip at the bridge's entrance. He also urged speeding up the progress of aluminum cladding, water fountains, and pedestrian walkways. The contractor was instructed to promptly complete the remaining work, clean up thoroughly, and ensure the safety of the technical opening ceremony and road users.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do instructed the Dien Bien Phu City People's Committee to prepare the necessary conditions and arrange transportation for the technical opening ceremony at 8:00 AM on November 1st; and to announce the time and schedule to inform the public so they can participate in traffic.
