On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Mining Region and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, on the morning of April 27, Comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Hue (born in 1923, residing in Mao Khe ward) and Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Phuong (born in 1936, residing in Duc Chinh ward), Dong Trieu city.
Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Hue is 103 years old this year. Her husband is martyr Ngo Van Xuong, who died in the resistance war against the French; her son is martyr Ngo Van Suat, who died in the resistance war against the Americans.
Mother Nguyen Thi Phuong is 90 years old this year. Her husband, martyr Doan Manh Sang, died in the resistance war against the French and her son, martyr Pham Xuan Suc, died in the resistance war against the Americans.
Visiting the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Dong Trieu City, comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and other comrades in the delegation burned incense and commemorated the husbands and martyr children of the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers Nguyen Thi Hue and Nguyen Thi Phuong, who fought and sacrificed heroically for the independence and peace of the nation.
Expressing gratitude and appreciation for the great contributions of the mothers, comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that the silent but noble sacrifices and steadfast hearts of mothers Nguyen Thi Hue, Nguyen Thi Phuong and other Vietnamese Heroic Mothers across the country are shining examples of revolutionary heroism, for future generations to forever remember, appreciate and be deeply grateful.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee kindly inquired about their health and encouraged their spirit, wishing Vietnamese Heroic Mothers Nguyen Thi Hue and Nguyen Thi Phuong a warm and happy life with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, continuing to be a spiritual support and a shining example for the younger generation to learn from and follow.
Emphasizing the extremely important meaning of caring for, supporting and showing gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Vu Quyet Tien requested local authorities and relevant sectors to continue to provide the best conditions to care for the spiritual life and health of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Dong Trieu City in particular and Quang Ninh province in general.
