Morning of August 29, inauguration of 500kV line circuit 3

Under the direction of the Prime Minister, the inauguration ceremony of the 500kV Line 3 Project from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) will take place on August 29. The ceremony will be held live, starting at 8:30 a.m. in Hung Yen province and connected online to the connecting points in 8 provinces where the line passes through, including: Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong , Hung Yen.

500kV line 3 passes through Nga Son district (Thanh Hoa).

The inauguration ceremony is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the main bridge in Hung Yen province, along with Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at the bridge in Ha Tinh and Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long at the bridge in Thanh Hoa.

Also attending the ceremony were leaders of relevant ministries, branches, agencies and leaders of provinces where the project passes. Provincial leaders at local connecting points will deliver welcoming speeches and share about the project's contributions to local development.

The 500kV line 3 project is an important part of the national energy infrastructure development plan. The completion of the project will help increase the power transmission capacity from the Central region to the North from 2,200MW to 5,000MW to solve the current difficult and urgent power supply problem for the North.

In Thanh Hoa, the 500kV line 3 has a total length of 131km, passing through 11 districts and towns in the province. In addition to the affected forest and agricultural land, Thanh Hoa province has 268 households whose residential land and houses are affected, of which more than 80 households are subject to resettlement.

Officers and soldiers of Regiment 3, Division 324 (Military Region 4) and officers and soldiers of Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command participated in supporting wire pulling at the construction area of Phu Son commune (Nghi Son town).

With the spirit of "All for the 500kV line 3", Thanh Hoa province has well implemented the site clearance work, handing over the project earlier than planned; at the same time, mobilizing forces to participate in relocating houses, architectural structures, clearing the route corridor; supporting units on the construction site in pulling wires, regulating traffic in intersection areas, restoring roads serving the construction and motivating construction forces on the construction site.

Thanh Hoa 500kV Transformer Station Project and connecting line were completed and energized on June 28.

It is known that the Ministry of Home Affairs has been assigned to coordinate with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Vietnam Electricity Group to propose rewards for collectives and individuals with outstanding contributions during the project construction process, ensuring that the rewards are awarded in accordance with regulations at the inauguration ceremony.

In particular, the Prime Minister also requested to consider proposing the highest State-level reward for Vietnam Electricity Group in accordance with its achievements in recent times.

The 500kV line 3 component projects passing through Thanh Hoa have been completed and energized, such as: Thanh Hoa 500kV transformer station project and connecting line energized on June 28; Nam Dinh 1 Thermal Power Plant - Thanh Hoa 500kV line project completed on schedule as planned on June 30; Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa 500kV line project energized on August 19.
