In a statement on Telegram, Rostov Region Governor Vasily Golubev said the victim was a woman, adding that 15 children were among the injured. All have received medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the city's No. 20 Hospital announced that it had received 17 children injured in the incident. Two of the three seriously injured cases have undergone surgery. The remaining case is undergoing surgery. Eleven children suffered moderate injuries. Four children have been discharged for outpatient treatment.

The stands collapsed during a youth soccer match. There were about 30 people present at the time of the incident. Authorities are currently investigating the incident. In addition, the authorities have also opened a criminal case on charges of providing services that do not meet safety standards, causing human casualties.
