On the international market, the price of gold today is trading at $3,340 per ounce, an increase of nearly $20 per ounce compared to the previous session.
During trading last night and early this morning, the price of gold briefly surged from $3,325 to $3,375 per ounce. Investors were still reeling from this surprise when the precious metal quickly reversed course and plummeted.

Gold prices have been fluctuating sharply as the market reacts to information related to monetary policy and actions by the US Federal Reserve (FED). Investors are awaiting further economic data, including the upcoming consumer price index (CPI) report, to assess the likelihood of future interest rate changes by the FED.
Are predictions emerging that gold prices could reach $4,000 per ounce?
In this context, gold remains seen as a safe haven, especially as political and economic uncertainties continue to rise.
In its 2025 second-half strategy report, MBS Securities Company noted that in the first half of this year, gold prices were supported by strong demand from central banks and ETFs, amidst macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainty, along with concerns about the depreciation of the US dollar. In the first quarter of 2025, central banks purchased 244 tons of gold, while ETFs made net purchases of 227 tons.
Many organizations predict that the price of gold could reach around $3,800 per ounce by the fourth quarter of 2025, and could continue to rise to $4,000 in the first half of 2026.
Currently, the world gold price, converted using the listed exchange rate, is approximately 106 million VND per tael.
