Monument to Soviet, Chinese, Laotian, Cuban, Cambodian soldiers to be built in Hanoi

(QNgTV) - The Ministry of National Defense chaired a meeting with agencies and units to deploy the construction of a monument to soldiers from countries that helped Vietnam in the resistance wars, at the Vietnam Military History Museum.

The vacant land behind the Vietnam Military History Museum is planned to be used for a memorial project.

According to the Ministry of Defense , this is a construction project on the occasion of the 80th anniversary.   August Revolution   and National Day September 2, has important significance, to commemorate and show gratitude to experts and soldiers from other countries who participated in helping Vietnam in the resistance wars for national liberation.

The project includes: a common symbol of the help and sacrifice of military experts from various countries, made of bronze and created by Vietnam; a monument to honor military experts from the Soviet Union/Russian Federation, China, Laos, Cambodia, and Cuba, made of bronze, designed and constructed by the countries, or constructed by Vietnam at the request of the countries; a relief made of monolithic green stone, designed and constructed by Vietnam.

Surrounding the project is green space and lawns.
