Specifically: 183/196 kindergartens and preschools meet national standards, reaching a rate of 93.36% (Level 1: 120 schools; Level 2: 63 schools); 270/309 primary schools meet national standards, reaching a rate of 87.37% (Level 1: 201 schools; Level 2: 69 schools); 157/174 secondary schools meet standards, reaching a rate of 90.23% (Level 1: 119 schools; Level 2: 38 schools); 18/52 high schools meet standards, reaching a rate of 33.96% (Level 1: 16 schools; Level 2: 2 schools).
The total number of non-public schools in the province is 25 (including 20 preschools, kindergartens; 4 primary schools and 1 multi-level school), of which 3 schools are recognized as meeting national standards.
As of July 2025, 231/731 public schools have been re-evaluated, accounting for 31.56%; 179/731 public schools have expired their national standard recognition, accounting for 24.45%.

According to statistics, after the merger, the whole province of Ca Mau has 765 units and schools. Including: 216 kindergartens (20 non-public schools); 313 primary schools (4 non-public schools); 174 secondary schools; 53 high schools (1 non-public school), 8 Continuing Education - Vocational Education Centers and 1 Center for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education .
There are two specialized schools in the province: Phan Ngoc Hien Specialized High School (established in August 1991) and Bac Lieu Specialized High School (established in August 1992).
In addition, the province has 6 colleges, 1 university (under the management of the Provincial People's Committee) and 1 branch of Binh Duong University in Ca Mau (non-public).
The Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau is coordinating with localities to review and advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct the adjustment of the Project on Arranging and Developing the School Network in the province for the period 2021 - 2025 and orientation to 2030 (approved and being implemented) in the direction of streamlining public educational institutions and developing the system of non-public educational institutions.
Accordingly, the Education sector is advising the Provincial People's Committee to rearrange and streamline colleges located in Ca Mau province (old) and Bac Lieu province (old); and rearrange vocational education and continuing education centers.
