The second film directed by Thu Trang is set in the Southwest region in the 1960s, titled "Who loves who loves".

With her first movie "Billion Dollar Kiss", Thu Trang won big, earning 210 billion VND. Riding on the success, she shared that she will continue to direct her second movie.

Thu Trang continues her role as director in the next film project.
This time, she made a film with an old setting about the river delta in the West.

This time, the film is full of the old Western style, telling a story of a life torn between love and family. The choices, sacrifices and even the things that cannot be put into words, all contribute to a beautiful and sad love song about good people.

"Some people in the profession advised me why I don't make entertainment films about today's social life to attract audiences. However, I don't know why I really like the script of "Who loves who loves" and want to make this film" - Thu Trang confided.

She shared that she grew up with stories about the old West - where human love is always the most precious thing, no matter how difficult and hard life is. It was those memories that inspired her and her husband to bring the old West to the screen, as a way to show gratitude to the land and people that nurtured her childhood.

"When choosing to make this film, we not only wanted the audience to laugh like the previous films, but also wanted everyone to feel the love and affection of the Vietnamese people in the past. The West is a place we feel very close to and we want to tell this story as completely as possible" - Tien Luat commented.

Thu Trang and her husband and crew are in the pre-production stage of the film and are calling for candidates to audition. The roles they are looking for suitable actors for include: Ba Thuong, Cong Tu Kha, Cho, and Tham.

Thu Trang said that this project will cost a lot of money and can be considered the film that she and her crew have invested the most in so far. She hopes to discover new talent and bring a new breeze to Vietnamese cinema.

Thu Trang is looking for Ba Thuong

Before "Who loves who", Thu Trang attracted attention when appearing with Meritorious Artist Xuan Hinh in the movie "The Smell of Pho", scheduled to be released on Lunar New Year 2026. She said she only participated in this movie as an actress and the work is currently in post-production.
