SCB liquidates 23 money transport vehicles for 4 billion VND

VnExpressVnExpress07/01/2024

Saigon Commercial Bank (SCB) has just announced the liquidation of a batch of 23 specialized cars used to transport money with a starting price of 3.98 billion VND.

The liquidated vehicles include 17 Mitsubishi Pajero cars and 6 Hyundai Starex cars that were used by SCB as cash transport vehicles. All have Ho Chi Minh City license plates, registered between 2004 and 2011.

Of these, the two oldest were registered in 2004 and the newest was registered in 2011. The rest were mostly registered in 2007 (5) and 2008 (11). With a starting price of VND3.98 billion for the entire batch including VAT, each car costs an average of VND173 million.

SCB does not sell each car individually but offers the whole lot to individuals and organizations in need in the form of a sealed bid so that the bank's asset liquidation council can choose the highest purchase price.

Bidders are required to deposit VND690 million, equivalent to VND30 million per car. The deposit will be refunded if the bid is not successful. For the winning bidder, the deposit will be deducted from the payment for the car lot. If the winning bidder refuses to buy, the entire deposit will be forfeited.

SCB will be responsible for paying corporate income tax. All remaining related costs (including fees, charges, taxes) will be paid by the buyer. The winning bidder will carry out the procedures for registering the transfer of ownership of the vehicle lot.
