SeABank hands over 856 solidarity houses to Hoa Binh province

On May 19, 2025, Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank, HOSE: SSB) coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Binh province to inaugurate and hand over 856 newly built and repaired houses worth a total of 30 billion VND to the poor and people in difficult circumstances in Hoa Binh city, Luong Son district and Lac Son district, Hoa Binh province.

Responding to the call of the Prime Minister and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025", with the spirit of mutual love and the operating principle "For the community", SeABank has supported 30 billion VND to bring solid homes to the disadvantaged, joining hands to achieve the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Hoa Binh province, helping people here have a solid house, peace of mind to work and produce.

After 7 months of implementation, 856 solidarity houses were urgently constructed, repaired and handed over directly to poor and near-poor households in Luong Son, Lac Son districts and Hoa Binh city by SeABank, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Binh province and local authorities.

According to the actual survey results, the houses handed over all ensure the 3 hard "hard foundation, hard wall, hard roof" according to housing regulations. From the support fund of SeABank as well as the contributions of local authorities, people, and benefactors, Hoa Binh province has contributed to completing the goal of building 2,283 new houses, repairing 911 houses, and at the same time speeding up the completion of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Sung A Chênh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Binh province shared: “We would like to express our deep gratitude to SeABank for accompanying the locality in social security work, especially the program to support the construction and repair of 856 solidarity houses for households in difficult circumstances. These are not only roofs to protect against the rain and sun, but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, adding confidence and hope for people to rise up and stabilize their lives. The bank's sharing and responsibility is a testament to the spirit of mutual love and community solidarity - something we always cherish”.

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quynh - Head of the Board of Supervisors of SeABank said: “Today, SeABank is very pleased to officially hand over 856 solidarity houses to disadvantaged families in Hoa Binh province. With this contribution, we hope to help Hoa Binh accelerate poverty reduction, promote the process of building new rural areas, especially helping hundreds of households escape poverty sustainably, have a spacious, clean and beautiful home”.
