The bad debt ratio is at 1.95% thanks to SeABank's prudent lending policy and good risk management. This is a plus point that helps the Bank maintain stability and sustainability in profit growth.
Digitalization and revenue diversification strategies are effective
SeABank representative said that the profit growth in the first 6 months of the year was the result of investment in digital transformation, improving operational processes and expanding the financial services ecosystem. Accordingly, Non-interest income (NOII) reached VND 3,597 billion, up nearly 183.7% over the same period; Total operating income (TOI) reached VND 8,512 billion, up nearly 41.6% over the same period. This shows that the bank has successfully diversified its revenue sources, aiming towards a modern banking model.
A notable highlight in the first 6 months of the year is SeABank's push to attract international capital from leading development finance institutions. Accordingly, Proparco and FMO signed a cooperation agreement to invest 80 million USD in SeABank to supplement capital to support SMEs and women-owned enterprises. These loans not only help SeABank increase its financial resources for lending to green and sustainable sectors, but also affirm its reputation, transparency and ability to meet international standards in risk management and ESG standards ( Environment - Society - Governance).
Along with business growth, SeABank pays special attention to implementing social responsibilities. In the first 6 months of 2025, the Bank has implemented many practical programs: coordinating with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Binh province (old) to organize the inauguration and handover of 856 newly built and repaired houses to poor households in the locality with a total value of 30 billion VND; Carrying out annual volunteer activities such as Spring of Love, SeABanker For Children targeting vulnerable groups in society; Implementing many environmental activities through the Let's Go Green with SeABank program such as Ocean Cleanup, Garbage Exchange Day for Gifts; Maintaining and expanding the Dream Incubation Fund, sponsoring 10 more poor students overcoming difficulties, bringing the total number of children receiving long-term support to 219 nationwide.
SeABank's reputation and brand are recognized by many prestigious awards at home and abroad such as: The Bizz Award for Outstanding Enterprise by Worldcob (USA) for the 5th consecutive time; The European Magazine (UK) honored in 3 categories: Sustainable Management, Risk Management and E-Banking; increased 10 places in the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 ranking by Fortune Magazine (USA); increased 173 places in the FAST500 ranking; honored as "Pioneer Bank in Management Innovation for Sustainable Development" at Vietnam ESG Awards.
With positive business results in the first half of 2025, SeABank is showing a strong breakthrough in both scale and quality. Reaching the profit target in just 6 months not only demonstrates flexible management capacity but also reflects market confidence in the Bank's long-term development strategy. The strategy of focusing on digitalization, diversifying revenue sources, risk control, along with an increasingly extensive international cooperation network will be an important driving force for SeABank to become the most favorite retail bank.
