At the festival, more than 450 volunteers including officials, civil servants, armed forces, union members, youth, and workers in the district participated in donating blood.
On May 7, at the large hall of the People's Committee of Si Ma Cai district, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Si Ma Cai district coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross Society and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to organize a blood donation program with the theme "connecting hearts - connecting lives".

This is an activity in response to Voluntary Blood Donation Day (April 7) and World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day (May 8).
At the festival, more than 450 volunteers including officials, civil servants, armed forces, union members, youth, and workers in the district participated in donating blood.

As a result, the Organizing Committee received 262 units of blood. All of the blood was transferred to the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to save patients and help the health sector reduce the difficulty of blood shortage.
