On August 20 and 21, the Department of Justice of Tuyen Quang province organized a pilot legal aid program in Tan Tien and Ho Thau communes.

Accordingly, the Department of Justice coordinated with 2 localities to organize communication in the village cultural house area, densely populated areas. Here, people were directly provided with important contents by the leaders of the Department of Justice, State Legal Aid Center No. 1, No. 2 and the Provincial Property Auction Service Center. In particular, focusing on providing information, legal aid, popularizing and disseminating basic contents of the Law on Legal Aid; basic rights and obligations of citizens in the fields of civil, criminal, land, household registration, marriage and family...

The working group organized legal situations and questions for people to answer, increasing interaction and visual illustrations. In addition, at the propaganda session, people presented specific requests for legal assistance and received advice and guidance from officers on how to handle legal problems.

Through the program, ethnic minority people will be able to access and benefit from quality legal aid and strengthen the coordination of legal aid between state management agencies and localities. At the same time, after implementing the pilot project in Tan Tien commune, Ho Thau will evaluate the effectiveness and expand it in the future.

On this occasion, the Department of Justice presented 2 gifts to families affected by natural disasters and 25 gifts to children and families in difficult circumstances in 2 communes.
