With the theme "Son La - Historical imprints, cultural colors and aspirations for development", inspired by the land and people of Son La, the Provincial Museum and Library built the idea of designing the exhibition space with a 3D model, on an area of 180m2. With a special design, using the language of art and installation, the display aims to recreate, promote, introduce and highlight the image of Son La province - a land rich in historical and cultural traditions, becoming a green agricultural economic center, a leading natural destination in the world in the period of integration and development.

Accordingly, the exhibition is built with a multi-dimensional space, cleverly combining static and dynamic displays, taking the image of the overlapping mountain range and the stylized brocade strip as the central image, creating a harmonious whole, fully conveying the spirit of the Northwest region. The exhibition space is arranged, including: a stylized welcome gate of mountains and the word Son La decorated with patterns of the Thai, Mong, Dao ethnic groups; a display room for artifacts, an area for experiencing and performing culture, art, and identity of Son La ethnic groups; an area for displaying images promoting tourism, outstanding achievements, and typical events of the province.

The exhibition space is designed multidimensionally, modernly, imbued with Son La identity.

Mr. Nguyen An Dai, Deputy Director of the Provincial Museum and Library, informed: We focused on careful preparation to realize the design idea, select unique artifacts and documents to bring to the exhibition according to the theme. Thereby, to introduce and promote the land rich in identity and development aspirations, inviting visitors to stop and explore. By August 22, the unit had completed the preparation and packaging stages; on the morning of August 23, the first team departed to bring artifacts to the exhibition to carry out the construction work of the ground, preparing for the exhibition.

The exhibition is displayed in 3 parts: Part 1 "Son La - Historical Marks", introducing historical artifacts, models recreating life and development history on Son La land. Part 2 "Son La - Cultural Colors" with a brilliant and vibrant space of cultural colors of 12 ethnic groups, artifacts are uniquely prepared and selected from costumes, musical instruments, and handicraft products... Part 3 "Son La - Brightening the Future", is the central part, affirming the message "Aspiration for Development" of the province, displaying outstanding socio-economic achievements in various fields.

Bamboo and rattan products and traditional musical instruments are the artifacts that will be displayed at the exhibition.

The exhibition space displays artifacts, images, models, combines cultural and artistic performances and experiences of the identity of Son La ethnic groups; at the same time, digital technology such as: Interactive screens, LED screens, lighting effects, sounds ... to create a lively, attractive space, imbued with local culture and identity. The idea of the design unit is that the exhibition space not only displays artifacts, but also tells stories through images, lights, models and narrating sounds. Thereby, creating a visual - emotional - thinking experience, where every step of the viewer is guided by the flow of time, by the flow of culture, by the breath of innovation. In addition, digital technology such as interactive screens, LED screens, lighting effects - sounds ... will help viewers not only "see" but also "touch" the flow of development.

Traditional costumes of ethnic groups are also artifacts brought to the upcoming exhibition.

The exhibition "Son La - Historical imprints, cultural colors and aspirations for development" is not only an event to display achievements, but also an emotional invitation. It will show that Son La is not only a land of a glorious past and unique indigenous culture, but also a bright spot, a land full of aspirations, ready to break through to shine in the future.
