The tournament has 14 provinces and cities participating, including: Dong Nai, Gia Lai, Nghe An, Quang Ngai, Hanoi , Lang Son, Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Son La, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh, Ho Chi Minh City and the host Dak Lak. 340 athletes compete in 36 weight categories, with two competitions: indoor tug of war and outdoor tug of war.
Son La province delegation participated in the tournament with 20 athletes who competed enthusiastically, devoted themselves to dramatic matches and won 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals, ranking 6th out of 14 participating provinces and cities.
