With the theme “Sustainable Development” , the fourth competition night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival – DIFF 2025 brought an evening of explosive emotions to the audience and visitors. Two teams from Europe brought eye-catching performances, a subtle combination of modern fireworks techniques and humanistic messages, making the entire audience burst with surprise and excitement.

Portugal is crazy

With nearly 100 years of experience and reputation in Europe, the Macedos Pirotecnia fireworks team from Portugal lit up the Da Nang stage with a real rock concert in the night sky of the Han River.

The fireworks story begins with the fiery rhythm of “Rock You Like A Hurricane”, the famous hit by the rock band Scorpions. To the lyrics “Here I am”, the fireworks burst into flames, exploding like rolling waves, rushing to sweep the audience into a musical hurricane. It feels like the whole audience is immersed in a wild concert, lights and electronic instruments with chorus.

But just when the audience thought they had grasped the "flow" of the performance, the Portuguese team suddenly changed the tone. The melodious melody of "Love Vietnam" rang out, the birds of light flew in the sky, and the series of "sunrise" fireworks spread with emotion. A quiet but profound message about love for nature, about a green future began to be told, slowly and thoughtfully.

The latter part is a symphony of emotions when Lusitana Paixão, Rio Favo de Mel or even a piece of music from “Lacrimosa” (Mozart) are remixed, pushing the climax to a climax. Typical pyrotechnic effects such as comets, waterfalls of light, volcanic cannons… paint the sky a vivid world of light, both majestic and delicate.

Macedos Pirotecnia really “burned” until the last minute, not only with his skillful performance techniques but also with his ability to convey the message: preserving the pristine beauty of Mother Nature, living in harmony and developing sustainably:

UK with “Emotional Waves”

No stranger to DIFF audiences, the Pyrotex Fireworx team from the UK returns to the Han River with a performance that is likened to a poetic cinematic concert called “Emotional Waves”. With approximately 8,000 individually designed fireworks, each chapter of the performance is a pillow music, leading the audience from gentle, romantic to exciting and sublime.

The opening is quiet, like a love song written in the middle of the deep ocean. But then suddenly speeds up with a familiar cinematic soundtrack from the 007 - James Bond series, bringing the audience into a world of dramatic action. Immediately after, the atmosphere turns cheerful and familiar with a series of Vietnamese songs such as "Please forget me" (My Tam), "This place has you" (Son Tung M-TP) resounding, making the entire Vietnamese audience burst into laughter with delight. The audience not only watched but also sang along, swayed, and joined in the emotional joy.

Nếu đội Bồ Đào Nha mang đến một đại nhạc hội rock rực lửa, thì đội từ Anh là bản hòa tấu của nhiều phong cách.

If the Portuguese team brought a fiery rock concert, the team from England was a medley of many styles.

And then, like a gentle but profound transition, the final part of the performance brought the audience back to timeless masterpieces: Canto Della Terra, Live and Let Die, Dancing Queen, Future World Music… all blended into a mesmerizing symphony of fireworks. That was the moment of excitement, both calm and sublime, like standing in the middle of an outdoor fireworks opera.

If the Portuguese team brought a fiery rock concert, the English team was a symphony of many styles, from action, romance to cinema, all blended into one "emotional wave" that immersed the audience with no way out.

The fourth night of DIFF 2025 is not only a spectacular fireworks display, but also a complete artistic feast of sound, light and emotion. The elaborately staged singing and dancing performances with the participation of powerful singers such as Dong Hung, Lam Bao Ngoc, To My and a professional dance troupe made the Ngu Hanh Son stage truly explode, becoming the brilliant heart of Da Nang's summer.
