
On the evening of November 20, Mr. Chu Quoc Thinh, acting Director of the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health ), said that after the warning related to ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula milk, the Department sent documents to the Department of Health of provinces and cities; the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City and food safety branches about the product warning.
The Food Safety Department requested that competent authorities review the declaration records of the ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula milk product manufactured by ByHeart Inc., USA.
Work with the product announcement company (if any), request the company to notify distributors and consumers to stop using the product and recall it according to the manufacturer's recommendations, report the quantity imported, the quantity sold, the quantity remaining, and propose measures to handle these product batches.
Educate consumers to avoid using contaminated batches of ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula. The Food Safety Department also requires a report on the results of the treatment before November 28, 2025.
Currently, ByHeart Inc, USA is voluntarily recalling all batches of ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula on the market.
Previously, the World Health Organization said that as of November 17, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recorded 23 cases of suspected and confirmed infant botulinum poisoning in 13 states, all of whom required hospitalization.
On November 19, the International Food Safety Authority (INFOSAN) announced that an ongoing case of infant botulism poisoning in the US was related to the consumption of contaminated ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula.



ByHeart Whole Nutrition formula products were once sold on a number of commercial products.
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said ByHeart Inc. has recalled two batches of formula, numbered 206VABP/251261P2 and 206VABP/251131P2, after several infants were hospitalized after consuming products from these two batches. ByHeart products are sold online and at many retail chains, accounting for about 1% of the US formula market.
Parents and caregivers in the US are advised to immediately stop using ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula products, including all lot numbers, all can sizes and single-serve packages.
Thoroughly clean all utensils that have come into contact with milk. Children who have consumed milk and show signs of poor sucking, muscle weakness, difficulty swallowing, or decreased expression should be taken to the doctor immediately.
