In some localities, fields were deeply flooded, traffic was cut off and isolated, and people had to evacuate to safety.

At the working session, the monitoring delegation inspected and supervised environmental sanitation work after the prolonged heavy rain at Cu Dram Commune Health Station and some high-risk areas after heavy rain (flooded residential areas, schools, health stations, markets, garbage collection points).
Thereby assessing the current state of environmental sanitation after prolonged rains; checking domestic water sources, household hygiene, and drainage systems. At the same time, monitoring the risk of infectious disease outbreaks (dengue fever, diarrhea, waterborne diseases) and guiding localities to implement environmental treatment measures, garbage collection, mosquito larvae eradication, and water source disinfection.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Health Huynh Le Xuan Bich requested localities to focus on general environmental sanitation, medical waste collection, and disinfection in flooded areas that have been drained to prevent the risk of disease outbreaks after floods.
Medical staff promptly guide people to treat domestic water sources, ensure food safety and prevent and control epidemics. At the same time, it is necessary to coordinate with local authorities and functional forces to proactively and closely monitor the epidemic situation, ensure medical work in rescue and care for people in all situations.
