Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Official Dispatch No. 72 requesting ministries, branches and localities to continue to step up the fight to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights.
According to this dispatch, in recent times, ministries, branches, localities, and functional forces have made great efforts in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods, detecting and handling many cases and violators in the production and trade of fake milk, medicine, and food...
However, the situation remains very complicated. The Prime Minister requested the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations to continue to closely coordinate with ministries, branches and authorities at all levels in mobilizing businesses and people to participate in this struggle.
The Secretaries of Provincial and Municipal Party Committees directly under the Central Government are responsible for continuing to lead and direct Party committees at all levels and the entire political system in the locality to participate in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.

In addition, the Prime Minister requested Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, and Chairmen of People's Committees of centrally-run provinces and cities to continue to launch, strengthen direction, and promote the peak period of the fight to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.
In particular, the head of the Government requested strict handling of officials, civil servants, and officers who show signs of moral degradation, corruption, negativity, protection, and abetting of law violators.
In addition, the Prime Minister assigned the Minister of Health to urgently submit to the Government amendments and supplements to Decree No. 15/2018 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Food Safety, to be completed in May.
This Ministry is also responsible for presiding over and coordinating with relevant agencies to report to the Government to propose competent authorities to immediately handle a number of limitations and inadequacies of the Food Safety Law according to the recommendations of ministries and branches, to be completed before June 5, and to ensure submission to the National Assembly in June.
