According to the plan, the airline will officially start selling tickets from January 21, 2026. The route will be launched after Sun PhuQuoc Airways was granted an operating license by the Civil Aviation Authority of Taiwan on January 5, 2026, following a rigorous evaluation process.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways has just received a new aircraft and expects to increase its fleet to nine aircraft by February 2026.

Phu Quoc – the most beautiful island in Asia and ranked third in the world by Condé Nast Traveler – is becoming a favorite destination for Taiwanese tourists. The number of Taiwanese visitors to Phu Quoc is steadily increasing. According to Phu Quoc International Airport, the island welcomed over 144,000 Taiwanese visitors in 2025.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways is also planning to expand its flight network connecting Phu Quoc with other international destinations from the beginning of Q2/2026, including Busan, Singapore, Bangkok, and Hong Kong. From Q3/2026, the airline will operate flights to Mumbai, New Delhi, and Kaohsiung.
Alongside international routes, the airline continues to connect Phu Quoc with domestic destinations, with Hanoi - Phu Quoc routes increasing to 5 flights/day, Ho Chi Minh City - Phu Quoc 7 flights/day; Da Nang - Phu Quoc 1 flight/day and Cam Ranh - Phu Quoc 4 flights/week from March 15, 2026; and will continue to increase frequency until the end of the year.
In addition to its flight network connecting Phu Quoc, the airline maintains a presence on high-demand domestic routes such as Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City and plans to add Hanoi - Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang routes from May onwards.
Sun Phu Quoc Airways has also recently received a new aircraft and is expected to increase its fleet to 9 aircraft by February 2026, just 6 months after receiving its first aircraft on August 10, 2025. In December 2025, the new airline achieved an on-time performance (OTP) rate of 93.5%, ranking first in the entire domestic aviation industry (the industry average OTP rate was only 70.7%).
