World Peace Prayer Ceremony
Located in the eastern part of the legendary Himalayas, Bhutan is nestled in majestic and majestic mountain ranges. The small country with a population of only approximately 800,000 people has long been known as one of the happiest places in the world .
Going back to the past, in 1972, the fourth King of Bhutan, Jigme Singye Wangchuck (father of the current King of Bhutan, also known as His Majesty the King or the Bodhisattva King) initiated the concept of Gross National Happiness (GNH), which prioritizes spiritual, social and environmental well-being; taking sustainable development, cultural preservation, environmental conservation and good governance as core values.
Almost immediately, GNH became a foundational philosophy, a frame of reference for all public policies, assessing national development through nine pillars including mental health, time balance, community, cultural preservation, ecosystem preservation, physical health, education , good governance and living conditions.
During his reign, Bhutan expanded education, free healthcare, and protected forests. His Majesty the King's contributions transformed Bhutan from an isolated country in the Himalayas into a globally renowned nation with a philosophy and path of sustainable development, happiness, and harmony with nature.
Therefore, when arriving in Bhutan, the Vietnamese delegation felt like they were lost in a world of Happiness. There, there is no distinction between rich and poor, not many modern houses and the roads are sparsely populated. Most of the country's land area is reserved for magnificent natural landscapes with immense valleys, snow-capped mountain peaks and thousands of years old Buddhist architecture. There, happiness and smiles are more important than anything else.
During their stay in Thimphu, the delegation was honored to attend the World Peace Prayer Ceremony organized by the Royal Family of Bhutan. This was an unprecedented event, bringing together many spiritual leaders and scholars from all over the Buddhist world, with the goal of co-creating a future based on peace and happiness.

The presence of T&T Group and SHB Bank at this important event as guests is not only an affirmation of the company's position, but also a way for Vietnamese private enterprises to contribute their responsible voice to the common values of the times: peace, happiness and sustainable development. This is also the foundation for T&T Group and SHB Bank to promote programs with long-term social significance, from education, health care to cultural connection - true to the role of a "corporate ambassador" at the national level.
Full scholarship funding for Bhutanese students to study medicine in Hanoi
In particular, within the framework of the trip, on November 11, the delegation was honored to participate in the National Ceremony to celebrate the 70th birthday of His Majesty King Jigme Singye Wangchuck. At the ceremony, to honor the legacy of His Majesty King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the leaders of T&T Group awarded 10 full scholarships to Bhutanese students studying at Hanoi Medical University. These are also the first students from the "happy country" to receive specialized medical training in Vietnam.

T&T Group leaders awarded 10 full scholarships to Bhutanese students studying at Hanoi Medical University.
In the general context, 10 full scholarships for Bhutanese students studying Medicine in Vietnam are like a “medical bridge”, contributing practically to nurturing the future generation of medical experts – those who will directly serve the Bhutanese people and continue the noble values that “Bodhisattva King” Jigme Singye Wangchuck has worked hard to cultivate.
On a broader scale, students receiving scholarships not only study at the leading medical training institutions in Vietnam, but also acquire clinical knowledge from a prestigious medical background. Moreover, they also become “cultural-academic ambassadors”, natural and meaningful bridges for the two sides to expand cooperation in many fields.
In a solemn letter sent to His Majesty King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, Founder and Executive Chairman of T&T Group Do Quang Hien affirmed that the awarding of 10 full scholarships "is a great opportunity to strengthen cooperation and people-to-people exchange between the two countries, thereby contributing to promoting the good friendship and cooperation between the two countries in general and the friendship with T&T Group in particular".
Welcoming the affection of friends from Vietnam, the representative of the Office of the King of Bhutan sent his thanks to the leaders of T&T Group; at the same time, affirmed that this will be an opportunity to open new chapters in the strong relationship between the two sides and the two countries.
