Ta Dung is expected to be used to name a new commune.

This is one of the contents approved by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on April 17th regarding the plan for rearranging and reorganizing commune-level administrative units in Dak Nong province.

Ta Dung tourist area (Dak Nong) is likened to Ha Long Bay of the Central Highlands.

Specifically, for Dak Glong district, the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee agreed with the policy of merging and reorganizing it into 4 communes, including retaining Quang Son commune (meeting all criteria) and Quang Hoa commune (awaiting merger with a commune in Lam Dong province). Dak Ha commune will be merged with some other localities of Gia Nghia city to form a new ward.

For the remaining communes, besides Quang Khe commune (formed by merging the old Quang Khe commune and the old Dak Plao commune), it is expected that Ta Dung commune will be established, based on the merger of Dak Som commune and Dak R'mang commune.

Ta Dung is a famous landmark in Dak Nong province, associated with the Ta Dung mountain range and the cultural life of the Ma ethnic group living at its foot.

Over the years, Ta Dung has become famous for tourism thanks to Ta Dung National Park and Ta Dung Lake - often referred to as the Ha Long Bay of the Central Highlands.
