Ta Dung is expected to be used to name a new commune in Dak Nong.

This is one of the contents approved by the Provincial Party Standing Committee on April 17 regarding the plan to arrange and reorganize commune-level administrative units in Dak Nong province.

Ta Dung tourist area (Dak Nong) is considered the Ha Long Bay of the Central Highlands.

Specifically, for Dak Glong district, Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee agreed with the policy of merging and rearranging to 4 communes, in which Quang Son commune (meeting all criteria) and Quang Hoa commune (waiting to be merged into a commune of Lam Dong province) were kept intact. Dak Ha commune was merged into some other localities of Gia Nghia city to establish a new ward.

For the remaining communes, in addition to Quang Khe commune (merged from the old Quang Khe commune and the old Dak Plao commune), it is expected that there will be Ta Dung commune, based on the merger of Dak Som commune and Dak R'mang commune.

Ta Dung is a famous place in Dak Nong province, associated with Ta Dung mountain range and the cultural life of the Ma people at the foot of the mountain.

In recent years, Ta Dung has become famous for tourism with Ta Dung National Park and Ta Dung Lake - considered the Ha Long Bay of the Central Highlands.
