The results of the contest were announced by the World Food Photography Awards in early June. Accordingly, photographer Dang Hoai Anh is the only Vietnamese photographer to win the prize in the category "Foods associated with festivals and celebrations", with the work "Banh Hoi". The photo captures the moment of preparing Banh Hoi - a traditional dish that often appears in festivals, death anniversaries, and weddings in many regions of Vietnam.

This year's awards are sponsored by Bimi, held at the Mall Galleries (London), and hosted by Yotam Ottolenghi - renowned chef, restaurateur and food writer.
The sponsor said the award celebrates the power of photography to tell food stories. No matter how the world changes, food remains central to life, connecting communities through growing, cooking, eating, celebrating and surviving.
The World Food Photography Awards is the world's leading food photography competition, founded in 2011 by Caroline Kenyon, originally known as the Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year. In 2025, the competition was renamed the World Food Photography Awards to reflect its global reach and prestige.

This year's World Food Photography Awards attracted nearly 10,000 entries from 70 countries. Among them, the photo The Elderly Having Delicious Food by Chinese photographer Xiaoling Li won the highest award. The work was taken in the ancient town of Shuangliu, capturing the moment when a group of elderly people laughed and ate spring rolls, a traditional Sichuan dish. The photographer said this is a familiar scene of neighbors gathering together, chatting and sharing stories of daily life in a scene that the Chinese call the "Dragon Gate formation".
The total prize is worth £5,000 (about 177 million VND). The winner's work has the opportunity to be exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London, opening up the potential for commercial collaboration for the photographers.
