On the afternoon of June 5, Mr. Tran Van Duan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Phin Commune, Chu Prong District, Gia Lai confirmed that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area, killing three people on a motorbike on the spot.
According to people present at the scene, at the above time, the truck with license plate 81H-010.45 driven by Mr. Hoang Xuan Tai (born in 1970, residing in Thang Loi ward, Pleiku city) was traveling from Bau Can commune to Chu Prong town when it suddenly hit the motorbike with license plate 81B2-783.37 driven by Mr. NQH (residing in Hoang Yen village, Ia Phin commune, Chu Prong district) carrying his wife and son NHTN (born in 2020) behind. The truck then continued to hit the pickup truck with license plate 81C-148.74 parked on the side of the road.
As a result, Mr. NQH, his wife N.TT.K and son died on the spot.
The accident caused both cars to be severely damaged, the motorbike was deformed and lying under the truck.
Immediately after the incident, Mr. Doan Huu Dung, Director of the Department of Transport, was present at the scene to direct the authorities to temporarily block off the area to serve the investigation into the cause of this particularly serious accident.
