Temporarily stop receiving and processing applications for changing land use purpose to residential land for households and individuals from June 10, 2025 until further instructions.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) – Recently, in the city, there have been many cases of land use conversion to residential land that are not in accordance with regulations in some localities, especially in the context of province mergers, commune rearrangements and abolition of district level. This issue has caused much public opinion.

Faced with the above situation, the Chairman of the City People's Committee has issued instructions in Document 4597/VP-DC3 requesting the Chairman of the District People's Committee to temporarily stop receiving and processing dossiers to change land use purpose to residential land for households and individuals from June 10, 2025 until further instructions from the City People's Committee.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee also assigned the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment to direct the inspection and review of the entire situation of land use conversion to residential land for households and individuals from the time the 2024 Land Law takes effect to the present, especially focusing on the period from March 1, 2025. Violations must be summarized and promptly reported to the City People's Committee.

In addition, the city leaders requested that the Standing Committee members of the City Party Committee in charge of the area and the district-level Secretaries strengthen direction and supervision to seriously implement this direction./.
