A cyber attack disrupted online services at Bank Sepah, one of Iran's main state-owned banks, on June 17 amid escalating conflict between Iran and Israel.
"A cyber attack targeted the infrastructure of Sepah Bank, disrupting the financial institution's online services," Iran's Fars news agency said.
Fars also said that because the bank's online system is connected to many gas stations in Iran, it also disrupted services there. The problem is expected to be resolved in the next few hours, the news agency said.
Bank Sepah is controlled by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The activist group "Gonjeshke Darande" (Sparrows of Prey) admitted carrying out the attack./.
