On June 17, a cyberattack disrupted the online services of Sepah Bank – one of Iran's main state-owned banks – amid escalating conflict between Iran and Israel.
Iran's Fars news agency reported: "A cyberattack targeted the infrastructure of Sepah Bank, disrupting the financial institution's online services."
According to Fars, the disruption to services at many Iranian gas stations was also caused by the bank's online system being connected to them. The news agency reported that the issue is expected to be resolved within the next few hours.
Sepah Bank is managed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The activist group "Gonjeshke Darande" (Predator Sparrows) has admitted to carrying out the attack.
