On October 11, Quang Trung University ( Gia Lai ) held a ceremony to welcome the new school year 2025-2026 and announced the decision to appoint the school's principal.

At the ceremony, the representative of the University Council announced the decision to appoint Dr. To Ba Lam as Rector of Quang Trung University.

Mr. To Ba Lam holds a PhD in Information Technology from Pierre and Marie Curie University (UPMC) and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Quebec at Montréal (UQAM). Before taking up the position of Rector of Quang University, he held many important positions in multinational corporations, including the education sector in Vietnam.

In the new school year 2025-2026, Dr. To Ba Lam said that Quang Trung University has identified four key groups of tasks, which are: continuing to strengthen the organizational structure, developing the staff. Fundamentally and comprehensively innovating education and training, improving the quality of teaching and learning.

Promote digital transformation, towards the model of “electronic university”; expand foreign cooperation, connect with businesses to create internship, job and start-up opportunities for students.

“Together we will turn aspirations into reality, sow the seeds of knowledge and nurture citizens with enough intelligence, talent, heart and vision to serve the community,” the new Rector of Quang Trung University emphasized.

Also at the ceremony, the Saigon Education Quality Assessment Center announced its decision and awarded certificates of quality assessment for 4 training programs to Quang Trung University, including: Nursing, Business Administration, Information Technology and Construction Engineering Technology.

Previously, in February 2025, the school also achieved educational quality accreditation. This is an important milestone affirming the school's commitment to continuously improving the quality of teaching and training.

On this occasion, Quang Trung University's partner businesses awarded many "Support to School" scholarships to students with a total scholarship value of over 550 million VND. In addition, Quang Trung University also awarded scholarships to 7 students with excellent achievements in the past school year.
