Strengthening HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis with PeRp

Currently, along with the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS, treatment methods for high-risk groups of HIV infection have been promoted. In the second year, Vinh Phuc has implemented pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV with the drug PeRp, with many positive results showing that this is an effective shield contributing to limiting the spread of HIV.

The whole province has more than 4,800 people infected with HIV, more than 2,300 people with AIDS, activities of propaganda, prevention, prevention, communityeducation ; monitoring, testing for HIV detection; harm reduction intervention to prevent HIV infection, distribution of clean needles and syringes, condoms, Methadone treatment; ARV treatment; TB and HIV prevention... are maintained regularly.

PrEP treatment and distribution has entered its second year and the provincial health sector is striving to treat more than 450 patients, actively communicating about gender, registering for self-testing and PrEP anti-HIV treatment to control and promptly prevent the infection rate. PeRp is a drug used for all subjects at risk of HIV infection, including men who have sex with men, transgender women, injecting drug users... The drug is completely free and has good health effects for users.

With the current results of PrEP treatment, the health sector continues to utilize resources and support from projects to promote propaganda activities to the people, diversify channels and forms of providing PrEP drugs so that more and more people know and access the service, effective treatment, contributing to reducing HIV/AIDS infection in the community in general and young people in particular.
