Strengthening foreign relations - a fulcrum for investment and development

In the context of increasingly deep international integration in all fields, foreign affairs play an important role in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland and attracting investment. This is an important development direction of Thai Binh in the new period.

Thoroughly grasping and effectively implementing the policies of the Party and State, especially Resolution No. 22-NQ/TW of the Politburo (11th tenure) on international integration, the Party Committee, government, departments, branches and organizations of Thai Binh province have expanded international cooperation relations, comprehensively promoted foreign affairs activities, created a premise to attract investment, promote socio-economic development associated with strengthening national defense and security; in which, focusing on projects with foreign investment capital, expanding friendly cooperation with countries, especially ASEAN countries, demonstrated by signing comprehensive development cooperation documents in areas of mutual interest. Continue to promote cooperation between Thai Binh province and Xay Nha Bu Ly province (Laos), Yeongju city (South Korea), Son Tay province (China), promote extensive cooperation between partners of the Federal Republic of Germany and Vietnam in general, Thai Binh in particular... The Provincial Military Command, Provincial Police, Thai Binh Border Guard closely coordinate with the Navy, Coast Guard, Fleet 38 and Border Guard of Nam Dinh province, Hai Phong city in managing and protecting the maritime border according to the regulations and coordination plans signed between the forces.

Thai Binh province has had policies and solutions to exploit and develop the marine economy , creating a breakthrough in economic growth, especially mobilizing all resources to promote the construction and development of Thai Binh Economic Zone.

Colonel Tong Thanh Son, Commander of the Thai Binh Border Guard Command, said: We focus on supporting fishermen in offshore fishing while protecting territorial sovereignty and maritime borders. We identify fishermen as “living landmarks” at sea. This is one of the effective solutions to both develop the economy and protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

In the coming years, peace, cooperation and development will remain the dominant trend, but the world and regional situation will always be complex and unpredictable. Therefore, more than ever, it is necessary to improve the quality and effectiveness of foreign affairs activities, comprehensively and deeply integrate into the world, and maintain a peaceful and stable environment for national development. Continue to implement and improve the effectiveness of foreign affairs and international integration to attract investment for development.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council said: Thai Binh always determines that internal resources are decisive, fundamental, long-term, external resources are important, breakthrough; therefore, attracting investment into the province is the top priority task. With the view that successful investors in Thai Binh are the driving force for the province's development.

In addition, strengthen coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Working Committee for Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations and central ministries and branches in introducing and coordinating non-governmental aid programs and projects to localities to increase resources for development investment. Promote the establishment of friendly cooperative relations with foreign partners and localities, first of all friendly cooperative relations (local level) with some provinces of Laos, Japan, and South Korea; promote export production, maintain and develop traditional markets such as China, South Korea, Japan, EU, ASEAN, towards new markets such as South America and Africa; promote extensive cooperation with partners of the Federal Republic of Germany. In the current digital transformation period, it is necessary to create conditions for businesses to access information, penetrate and expand international markets.

At the same time, strengthen cooperation and comprehensive development links in socio-economic fields with neighboring provinces and cities, in the Red River Delta region and the whole country. Continue to effectively implement cooperation programs with signed localities (Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam); promote the potential and advantages of each locality, promote the strength of great national unity, the people's mastery, contributing to accelerating the socio-economic development of Thai Binh.
