Recently, the functional sectors and localities in the province have stepped up propaganda as well as inspections to raise awareness of compliance with regulations of fertilizer and pesticide trading establishments.

Mr. Hoang Thi Tho - Deputy Head of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection - said: In 2024 and the first 4 months of 2025, the Department opened 5 professional training courses on fertilizers and plant protection drugs for 273 business households. The courses focused on conveying regulations on production, trade, and import of fertilizers; regulations on labeling, naming and instructions for using fertilizers, and distinguishing fake and poor quality fertilizers.
Along with that, localities in the province also actively propagate to raise awareness of compliance with regulations on fertilizer and pesticide trading. Mr. Phan Dinh Tham - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ia Grai district - said: There are 45 fertilizer and pesticide trading establishments in the district. Every year, the District People's Committee establishes an interdisciplinary team to inspect and evaluate agricultural materials put into business according to regulations, especially focusing on the field of fertilizer and pesticide.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinates with the People's Committees of communes and towns to strengthen propaganda to raise awareness and legal knowledge about business as well as the harmful effects of producing and trading poor quality agricultural materials.
“From 2020 to now, the authorities have not discovered any violations and have not received any feedback from the people about fake or poor quality fertilizers and pesticides,” Mr. Tham affirmed.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha - Owner of Ha Pesticide Facility (313 Hung Vuong, Ia Kha Town, Ia Grai District) said: In the past, the facility only imported and sold branded products of the Branch of Viet Thang Fertilizer Import-Export Trading Company Limited and Kien Nam Company Limited (both located in Long An Province).
In addition, we directly advise on the process of using fertilizers and pesticides, thus creating trust for the people. Every year, the facility sells more than 20 tons of fertilizers and over 7,500 liters of various pesticides to the market.

Mr. Nguyen Van Luyen - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Chu Prong district - informed: There are 100 fertilizer and pesticide trading establishments in the district. Recently, the Department has strengthened coordination in propaganda and inspection of compliance with current regulations on fertilizer and pesticide trading.
In 2024, the district's interdisciplinary team inspected 21 establishments, thereby fining 2 establishments with a fine of 3 million VND for selling expired products and expired certificates of eligibility for trading in plant protection drugs.
The Deputy Head of the Provincial Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection acknowledged: In addition to propaganda activities, localities also focus on organizing inspections and monitoring the quality of fertilizers and pesticides and promptly handling violations according to regulations.
In addition, localities recommend that people do not buy products through unreliable online platforms without clear addresses to avoid buying fake, counterfeit, poor quality goods of unknown origin, not yet circulated, not yet permitted for use in Vietnam; regularly instruct farmers to use fertilizers and pesticides according to the technical procedures issued by competent authorities or manufacturers to ensure savings, safety and efficiency.
