All businesses presented complete documentation.
Following the inspection team of Market Management Team No. 5 (responsible for the districts of Dien Khanh, Cam Lam, and Khanh Vinh) as they conducted checks on milk and general merchandise businesses in Dien Khanh town, initial observations show that all inspected businesses presented complete documentation proving the origin and source of the goods sold. The businesses also strongly supported the authorities' intervention in market inspections and controls, aiming to ensure fairness in business and protect consumer rights. Representatives from several businesses stated that since the authorities exposed the fake milk case, customers have started returning to buy products from reputable brands sold in their stores more frequently, resulting in increased sales.

Ms. Le Thi Hao Nhien, owner of Ham Thu milk shop (Dien Khanh town), said: “Over the past few days, I have been closely following the news and media reports about the fake milk ring. Although my shop always sells genuine milk products with complete documentation proving their origin, this incident has made us carefully review the types of milk we sell. In reality, many consumers nowadays don't pay attention to or research the products they buy, mainly trusting sales pitches and advertisements, especially products recommended by celebrities or doctors, leading them to buy substandard goods. Therefore, I strongly support the authorities increasing patrols and market inspections to promptly detect businesses that violate regulations.”
Following the directives of the Provincial Market Management Department, in recent days, Team 5 of the Market Management Department has assigned task forces to closely monitor the area, gathering information on businesses selling milk products and general stores and grocery stores selling milk products in the areas under its management. Mr. Nguyen Thai Nam - Team Leader of Team 5 of the Market Management Department, said that in addition to inspecting powdered milk products as directed by the Provincial Market Management Department, the team has also strengthened its forces to manage the area and organized task forces to conduct inspections of all products during the 2025 Food Safety Action Month. To date, Team 5 of the Market Management Department has conducted inspections, controls, and obtained signed commitments from 24 stores, including 19 stores specializing in selling milk products and 5 general stores selling milk products. Through inspections and controls, all businesses presented complete documentation for the milk products they were selling; No establishments have been found to be selling milk products on the list of counterfeit milk products.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Phuong, owner of the Tram Anh mother and baby store system (Nha Trang City), said: “Information about counterfeit milk has made us very worried. We have reviewed our entire system and committed to not importing any products on the list of counterfeit milk discovered by the authorities. In addition, we have signed a commitment with the Market Management Force not to trade in counterfeit goods or goods of unknown origin…”
Continue inspection and control.
In implementing Prime Minister's Directive No. 40/2025 on handling cases of counterfeit milk production and distribution, and Minister of Industry and Trade 's Directive No. 2755/2025 on strengthening market supervision, inspection, and control, on April 22, the Provincial People's Committee issued a document to relevant departments, agencies, and units urging them to promptly and strictly implement the directives and requirements of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and Trade in the aforementioned directives. In particular, they were instructed to focus on reviewing and inspecting compliance with regulations on food safety for milk products in the province, and to strictly handle violations according to regulations.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Quy, Deputy Head of the Provincial Market Management Department, upon receiving the information, the department proactively directed its teams throughout the province to conduct inspections and controls of businesses selling milk products. To date, the provincial Market Management force has not detected any counterfeit milk products on the list published by the Ministry of Public Security . Currently, inspection and control work is being regularly maintained by the Market Management force throughout the province, combined with public awareness campaigns and signed commitments with distribution and retail units. The department also directs its teams to continue closely monitoring market developments, coordinating closely with local authorities to ensure market stability and the supply and demand of goods; focusing on managing their respective areas, regularly monitoring and supervising the market to promptly detect any unusual developments in goods circulating in the market, especially milk products, medicines, and health supplements. Strengthening supervision and inspection of e-commerce platforms and social networks, which pose many risks of counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, and substandard goods… In addition, the Provincial Market Management Department also calls on consumers to cooperate with authorities and promptly report any suspected counterfeit goods…
