Strengthening inspection, control and disease prevention

On July 29, Khanh Hoa Department of Industry and Trade issued a document directing the provincial Market Management Department to strengthen inspection, control and prevention of avian influenza, foot-and-mouth disease and African swine fever in the province.

Accordingly, the Provincial Market Management Department performs a number of tasks, including: Coordinating with relevant forces to strengthen control, detect, promptly prevent and strictly handle cases of trading animals and animal products of unknown origin, not yet quarantined in the market to prevent avian influenza, foot-and-mouth disease and African swine fever; strengthening inspection and control of the area, focusing on inspection of poultry products and pork products to ensure quarantine implementation and meet food safety conditions according to regulations of law. Through inspection and handling, it is necessary to combine propaganda and dissemination of food safety laws to raise awareness among people and business organizations and individuals to prevent avian influenza, foot-and-mouth disease and African swine fever.
