The program to disseminate nutritional knowledge for athletes of the national U17 and U20 women's teams took place on the morning of July 29.

This initiative was organized at the proposal of the head coach of the U17 and U20 women's teams - Mr. Okiyama Mashahiko, with the goal of supporting young players to build a more sustainable and scientific physical foundation in both training and competition.

The program has the participation of coaching staff and players from two youth teams, with the focus on improving knowledge and skills in applying sports nutrition. This is considered a practical step in the context of Vietnamese women's football gradually professionalizing, aiming for continental and world tournaments.

Taking on the role of sharing expertise in the workshop were prestigious experts from Vietnam and Japan. Among them were Mr. Takado Yoshuyuki, Director of SHIDAX General Research Institute; Ms. Ubukata Haruna, sports nutrition expert and Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Tram Anh, Bachelor of Nutrition, Hanoi Medical University.

Speaking at the program, Coach Okiyama Mashahiko emphasized: “Nutrition is a key factor in the development of professional athletes. Players need to proactively acquire knowledge from experts, then effectively apply it to their daily diet to improve physical strength and minimize the risk of injury.”

Mr. Takado Yoshiyuki also shared practical experience from Japan, where nutrition has become an indispensable part of the entire athlete training process.

“We have been in this field for over three decades and have worked with many female athletes at the Olympic Games. Nutrition not only supports performance but also contributes to peak athletic performance,” he said.

The program will not only stop at the live seminar but will continue to be implemented through online consultation. Experts will closely monitor the physical condition of each athlete, and at the same time give recommendations on appropriate diet and recovery methods.

This is a modern approach, helping young female players have more scientific support in their journey to conquer the top.
